Ever since I was a little kid I have been taking things apart to try to learn how they were made. I remember being five years old and asking my parents to help me build a toy from an image I had in my head. The only problem was that I couldn’t make them see what I could see.
I have spent my career in many different fields of design, studying the different materials and processes that are utilized. This was very intentional. Think of it as my masters degree in design. My career gave me hands-on experiences which have furthered my education. However, I have always known that working for a company wouldn't suit me in the long run. I ask too many questions and want to push the boundaries of what we do.
Thirty five years have passed since that moment when I asked my parents to help me realize what was in my imagination. Since then, I have mastered the skill of taking that vision and making it a reality. This creativity is my lifelong passion. To be able to identify a problem, think of the most sustainable solution and execute on that solution lights me up. Combined with my passion for creativity, I have a drive that never quits, even when faced with uncertainty.
